Location: Staten Island, NY
Pay: Starting at $18/hour — up to $22/hour based on experience and performance

We are hiring an experienced, fast-paced Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our team.

We need someone who can move quickly, handle a busy kitchen, and properly prep food before service. This is not an entry-level position. Restaurant kitchen experience is required.

Responsibilities

* Work quickly and efficiently during high-volume rushes
* Prepare food according to recipes and portion standards
* Complete daily prep lists accurately and on time
* Handle grill, fryer and line stations
* Use knives safely and efficiently
* Maintain proper food storage, labeling and rotation
* Keep prep and cooking stations clean and organized
* Restock your station without needing to be told
* Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
* Work as part of a team during busy service

What We’re Looking For

* Previous restaurant cooking AND prep experience required
* Must be FAST and able to work under pressure
* Strong knife and food-prep skills
* Reliable and punctual
* Able to follow directions and recipes
* Able to work independently
* Weekend availability required
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Compensation

$18–$22/hour

Starting rate depends on experience. Higher pay is available for cooks who demonstrate strong speed, prep skills, reliability and overall performance.
