The Senior IT Product Manager conceives, develops, delivers, and manages products for use across Humana. Oversees and manages all phases of the product lifecycle, from design conception to delivery. The Senior IT Product Manager work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Product Management professional to contribute to product and service design for applied AI solutions, supporting innovation and product development for our AI platform teams. This role requires strategic product thinking and hands-on design expertise to create intuitive, scalable AI products and frameworks that deliver exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing enterprise AI products, contributing to rapid ideation and prototyping, and establishing design systems and frameworks that enable teams to build faster and more effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Support product vision and strategy for applied AI solutions within assigned teams or products.
  • Translate business objectives and user needs into product roadmaps and design strategies.
  • Apply and help refine product principles and user experience standards within the team.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user research to inform product direction.
  • Define product success metrics, KPIs, and measurement frameworks to track user adoption and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to product positioning and support go-to-market strategies.

Design & Innovation

  • Contribute to product design for assigned AI applications, including GenAI interfaces, conversational AI, and intelligent automation.
  • Facilitate ideation sessions, design sprints, and workshops to accelerate product development.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and interactive mockups to communicate product vision.
  • Design intuitive user interfaces and experiences for AI-powered tools, dashboards, and applications.
  • Maintain and contribute to design systems, component libraries, and UI/UX patterns for AI products.
  • Apply human-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies to solve complex problems.
  • Support innovation and contribute to experimentation, A/B testing, and iterative design approaches.

Framework & System Design Contribution

  • Contribute to the development of reusable product frameworks and design patterns that accelerate platform team productivity.
  • Contribute to design systems, guidelines, templates, and best practices for AI product development.
  • Contribute to product playbooks and frameworks for AI use cases.
  • Apply service design frameworks for assigned AI solution delivery.
  • Apply information architecture standards and data visualization principles within team scope.
  • Contribute to interaction design patterns for AI/ML experiences.
  • Contribute to accessibility standards and inclusive design guidelines for AI products.

User Research & Insights

  • Conduct user research to understand needs, behaviors, and pain points for AI product users.
  • Conduct usability testing, user interviews, and feedback sessions to validate product designs.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints for AI solutions.
  • Analyze user behavior data and product analytics to drive design improvements.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and design recommendations.
  • Maintain feedback loops between users, product teams, and platform teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years in product design, service design, UX/UI design, or product management roles.
  • Demonstrated experience designing AI/ML products and platforms in enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record of contributing to successful digital products from concept to launch.
  • Hands-on experience contributing to design systems, frameworks, and reusable components.
  • Strong background in both consumer-facing and enterprise B2B product design.
  • Experience designing conversational AI interfaces, GenAI applications, or intelligent automation tools.
  • Experience contributing to design for data-driven applications and analytics platforms.

Design & Product Skills

  • Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, FigJam).
  • Proficiency in user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design, and interaction design.
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Experience with design thinking, human-centered design, and service design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools and techniques (high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, animations).
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/React) to collaborate effectively with engineers.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
  • Experience with data visualization and designing for complex data sets and analytics.

AI & Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their implications for product design.
  • Experience with GenAI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and prompt engineering.
  • Familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, and retrieval systems for AI applications.
  • Understanding of conversational AI design patterns and natural language interfaces.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles, bias mitigation, and ethical AI design.
  • Understanding of API design and integration patterns for AI services.
  • Experience designing for uncertainty, model confidence, and AI explainability.

Research & Strategy Capabilities

  • User research skills including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Product strategy contributions including roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and backlog management.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and translate insights into actionable product requirements.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and iterative design processes.
  • Ability to contribute to business cases and ROI models for product investments.

This position follows a hybrid work style and must be performed at one of our designated IT hub locations: Louisville, KY; Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; Boston, MA; New York City; or Washington, D.C.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$124,800 - $171,600 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
